We would like to welcome all members and students back for another semester here at Schoolcraft. The holiday break was a pleasant hiatus but we're back to bring you the latest of gaming on campus and current events in the industry.
Right now the word on everyone's lips is
Noize. (click to view the event on Facebook) We bring this event to you with much pride as fellow gamers band together to celebrate the modern gaming culture as one. The event is free to attend, so spread the word. Don't forget to
add us as a fan for quick updates right to your Facebook feed! Also check out a special guest blog by
Project Playhem Gaming Society founder and Noize event coordinator:
Mexx.
Good luck to everyone with your classes, we'll have the latest on what's going on this semester soon!

First of all, a big congrats to
Team Rave for winning our Modern Warfare 2 Tournament! The competition was brutal, but it came down to Acid Reflux and Rave going at in a finale that seemed like it was written by some Hollywood script writers. Tension, drama, warfare that was modern, it had it all.
And speaking of Modern Warfare 2, our resident reviewer
Dan Castle has set his eyes upon the beast that is what's sure to be a Game of the Year contender. See what Dan has to say in his review
HERE.

Hey Everyone!
I got ahold of the Ning Staff and I wanted to say that I am proud to announce that I have my account back and the site is coming together nicely. We are working on a bit of a new look, keeping the tabs horizontal vs vertical.
Lets fight Anonymous.

Operation Cornicopia has now launched! Teams will be determined soon so stay tuned. Also coming up next week is our study skills seminar, held in the presentation room in the upstairs VisTaTech Center. Members receive 1 1/2 pylons for attending, which is a pretty nice chunk for those hoping to nab some quick credit.
Some interesting news for our Modern Warfare 2 players: its has been confirmed there will be a
third-person perspective mode as an additional multiplayer playlist. This means in the same fashion as you would select hardcore or team deathmatch, you can frag it up Gears of War style with an over the shoulder camera.
Orders for the Alpha-dogtags will be placed soon so be sure to rack up those pylons! You can never have enough. Next week: we talk t-shirt designs.
Have a great weekend everybody!
